Osho Golden Childhood Tour

One who is ready to risk everything: Welcome to Osho Tour India!

The meditation retreat that brings you right at the feet of the master

Spontaneous full days and a highly authentic guide - just jump and float in the now here with whatever is there. Osho is fully present and working on you through his many devices. Every cell of your being will be kissed alive!

The Guide

Anadi had the rare privilege of growing up in the very place where Osho experimented with life, death, and meditation. His father and other childhood friends of Osho shared anecdotes about Osho’s extraordinary early years. He also deeply absorbed the book 'Glimpses of a Golden Childhood', in which Osho himself recalls his rebellious childhood. Over the past 25 years, Anadi has been devoted to sharing these precious stories and experiences through the yearly Osho Golden Childhood Tour.

The Tour

What began informally with close friends has, for more than a decade now, become an intimate journey for small groups of devotees, following the most significant places in Osho’s early life: the village where he was born, the town where he grew up, the cities where he studied, lectured, and became enlightened, and the Tantra temples and other high-energy places where he used to sit silently, traveling far and beyond. Revealing many little-known hotspots from Osho’s early years, this tour truly follows in his footsteps.

Don't miss this rare opportunity..

"This tour for me was pure medicine. It brought me closer to Osho. Every second of it was such a blessing." Arjava, from Germany:

An Inner and Outer Journey Both

The Only Meditation There Is: Watching

This Meditation Tour is both an inner and an outer journey. The key is watching. No space is given to the mind: its complaints, its fears, its games. If you are caught in the mind, you may be hit hard. The tour can feel arduous, difficult, even like an absolute hell.

Yet for those who keep watching, the reward is immense: a sense of rebirth, and a life that transforms into peace and friendliness. You have never felt this alive as during this tour. Time disappears, only countless spontaneous happenings remain, creating new golden anecdotes.

Just remember, as Osho points out in his talks on The Diamond Sutra: this ashram will never be according to you. The same applies to this tour. This tour is here to change you; it is not here to fit you. This tour is intended as a transformation for you.

That is why people do not come once. They return: two, three, even four times.

"This tour is sensationable... crazy... fantastic..!" Sachi, from Japan

Osho: My childhood was certainly golden - not as a symbol, absolutely golden; not poetically, but literally, factually.

Osho's Golden Childhood Podcast with Anadi

In this interview, Anadi shares with an open heart his love for Osho and his own understanding and life experience as a meditator and seeker of truth.

Anadi: It depends on how receptive we are. Osho changed my life. My world has changed. Meditation is the key he gave me, and I have always followed it. For me, Osho was never really in the body, he is even more present now than ever. For me, he is here.

Itinerary

Pune

You will be picked up by private taxi from the airport in Mumbai to travel to Pune. We will be staying for three days in a hotel in Pune to recover from jetlag and visit the Osho International Meditation Resort, where we will meditate.

Agra - Taj Mahal

In Agra we will admire the beautiful Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is a jewel created by Sufi Mystics and its energy is still vibrant today. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Osho spoke many times about the Taj Mahal, especially in the context of subjective art.

“The ancient art was not only art; it was, deep down, mysticism. Deep down, it was out of meditation. If you simply sit and watch and look, suddenly a silence surrounds you, a peace descends upon you. The very structure of Taj Mahal is related to your innermost being; just looking at the shape of it, something changes within you.” | Osho

Temples of Khajuraho

We will explore the world and meaning of these amazing tantric temples and enjoy the local village with its little restaurants and bars. Osho visited Khajuraho many times and he took Swami Ganga, who was a kid at the time, to the strongest energy spots, in particular to the remote ‘64 Yogini Temple’ where the energy is very high. To Ganga Osho revealed many of the hidden meanings of these temples and introduced him to the great master Gorakh. We will meditate at all these places when we visit the different temple groups. Ganga still lives in Khajuraho: he owns one of the best hotels, where we’ll be staying. He is a wonderful narrator and he will share with us his stories and love for Osho.

“I have looked into all kinds of sculpture that existed and exists in the world, but the beauty that Khajuraho sculpture has, is just superhuman - so perfect that one cannot believe things can be made so perfect, so beautiful.” | Osho

Sagar

In Sagar we will visit the area where Osho studied for two years with Professor Dr. S.S. Roy for his MA in Philosophy. We will go to the well in which Osho threw his Gold Medal, and visit the house in which he lived.

Kuchwada

We will visit the house where Osho was born and explore the village where he lived for the first seven years of his life with his maternal grandparents. We will discover an area of India - so still, so ancient, and hardly changed since the days of Osho.

“I am reminded again of the small village where I was born. Why existence should have chosen this small village in the first place is unexplainable. It is as it should be. The village was beautiful. I have traveled far and wide but I have never come across that same beauty.” | Osho

Some years ago, Satya Tirth Bharti and a group of Japanese sannyasins bought the house where Osho was born and restored it to its original state. They also built Osho Tirth Ashram where we will be staying and meditating.

Gadarwara

After the death of his grandfather, Osho moved with his grandmother to Gadarwara, where his parents lived. We will visit his schools, the cloth shop of his parents and the railway bridge from where Osho made his famous jumps into the river. Swami Narendra Bodhisattva and Ma Amrit Mukti from Dehradun established a Meditation Center in the place where Osho had a Satori experience at the age of 14. We will be staying there, near the river.

Jabalpur

In Jabalpur, a pivotal place for Osho, we will visit the Maulshree tree in Bhawal Tal Park under which Osho became enlightened at age 21. We will also visit the University of Jabalpur where he taught as a Professor of Philosophy and meet some of the people who know him from that time. The university has kept the chair that was reserved for Osho in the teacher’s room, as well as the registers of many books Osho was borrowing at the Library.

White Marble Rocks

About 20 km west of Jabalpur is the village of Bhedaghat, where we will visit the ‘Marble Rocks’. Osho visited the ‘Marble Rocks’ many times: he especially loved the nights around the full moon in this magical place.

“I have lived for almost twenty years in Jabalpur in India; it has one of the most beautiful spots in the world. For two to three miles continuously a beautiful river, Narmada, flows between two mountains of marble... just three miles of pure white marble on both sides, high mountains. And the river is deep.” | Osho

The Black Rocks

Just outside of Jabalpur are the ‘Black Rocks’. Osho lived there for many years after his enlightenment. He asked his childhood friend Swami Anand Vijay to create an ashram among the ‘Black Rocks’ hills and gave it the name Osho Amritdham. We will be staying there, meditate and meet Anand Vijay.

The Tour ends here after 18 days.. From Jabalpur you can decide where you like to go. We are happy to help organising and booking your travels at your own costs.
