Born in Gadarwara, in the same street in which Osho grew up, Anadi knows the area intimately and introduces you to Osho's places and friends.
Starting in Pune, we are meditating and traveling through Madhya Pradesh (Central India) where Osho spent his life up to the age of 40 - Jabalpur, Gadarwara, Kuchwada, Sagar - meeting people who were close to him, going to places Osho talked about & loved to be - Marble Rocks, Khajuraho Tantra Temples and the Taj Mahal.
If you come from far away, Mumbai airport will be your point of arrival. The Tour starts in Pune and ends in Jabalpur. All-inclusive: no need to pull out your wallet during the Tour, unless you like to buy some clothes and souvenirs. We will share rooms in Osho ashrams and hotels (3 stars). Traveling through Central rural India means basic facilities!
Glimpses of the 'Osho Golden Childhood Tour 2016' shared by Meera. Published in Osho News on November 26, 2016: In a Dancing Bubble
Osho recalls his rebellious and mischievous childhood in his book 'Glimpses of a Golden Childhood'. The stories are fascinating, entertaining and inspiring and have the invaluable added dimension of the enlightened consciousness of the storyteller himself - They come to life in the Osho Golden Childhood Tour. A must read before joining!
"This tour for me was pure medicine.
It brought me closer to Osho.
Every second of it was such a blessing."
Arjava, from Germany
Experience a rare intimate encounter with the master!
Anadi had the privilege to grow up in the same place where Osho experimented with life, death and meditation. Being Osho’s childhood friends Anadi’s parents told him all sorts of anecdotes about Osho’s incredible childhood. In his adult life, Anadi is committed to share and pass on these immensely valuable stories and experiences by organising tours and taking small groups of people retracting the most important places in Osho’s life.
Anadi: It depends - how much we are receptive. Osho changed my life. My world is changed. And the meditation is the key - that he had given and I always followed it.
For me Osho was never been in the body, he is much more present now than ever. For me he is here.

You will be picked up by private taxi from the airport in Mumbai to travel to Pune. We will be staying for three days in a hotel in Pune to recover from jetlag and visit the Osho International Meditation Resort, where we will meditate.
In Agra we will admire the beautiful Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is a jewel created by Sufi Mystics and its energy is still vibrant today. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Osho spoke many times about the Taj Mahal, especially in the context of subjective art.
“The ancient art was not only art; it was, deep down, mysticism. Deep down, it was out of meditation. If you simply sit and watch and look, suddenly a silence surrounds you, a peace descends upon you. The very structure of Taj Mahal is related to your innermost being; just looking at the shape of it, something changes within you.” | Osho
We will explore the world and meaning of these amazing tantric temples and enjoy the local village with its little restaurants and bars. Osho visited Khajuraho many times and he took Swami Ganga, who was a kid at the time, to the strongest energy spots, in particular to the remote ‘64 Yogini Temple’ where the energy is very high. To Ganga Osho revealed many of the hidden meanings of these temples and introduced him to the great master Gorakh. We will meditate at all these places when we visit the different temple groups. Ganga still lives in Khajuraho: he owns one of the best hotels, where we’ll be staying. He is a wonderful narrator and he will share with us his stories and love for Osho.
“I have looked into all kinds of sculpture that existed and exists in the world, but the beauty that Khajuraho sculpture has, is just superhuman - so perfect that one cannot believe things can be made so perfect, so beautiful.” | Osho
In Sagar we will visit the area where Osho studied for two years with Professor Dr. S.S. Roy for his MA in Philosophy. We will go to the well in which Osho threw his Gold Medal, and visit the house in which he lived.
We will visit the house where Osho was born and explore the village where he lived for the first seven years of his life with his maternal grandparents. We will discover an area of India - so still, so ancient, and hardly changed since the days of Osho.
“I am reminded again of the small village where I was born. Why existence should have chosen this small village in the first place is unexplainable. It is as it should be. The village was beautiful. I have traveled far and wide but I have never come across that same beauty.” | Osho
Some years ago, Satya Tirth Bharti and a group of Japanese sannyasins bought the house where Osho was born and restored it to its original state. They also built Osho Tirth Ashram where we will be staying and meditating.
After the death of his grandfather, Osho moved with his grandmother to Gadarwara, where his parents lived. We will visit his schools, the cloth shop of his parents and the railway bridge from where Osho made his famous jumps into the river. Swami Narendra Bodhisattva and Ma Amrit Mukti from Dehradun established a Meditation Center in the place where Osho had a Satori experience at the age of 14. We will be staying there, near the river.
In Jabalpur, a pivotal place for Osho, we will visit the Maulshree tree in Bhawal Tal Park under which Osho became enlightened at age 21. We will also visit the University of Jabalpur where he taught as a Professor of Philosophy and meet some of the people who know him from that time. The university has kept the chair that was reserved for Osho in the teacher’s room, as well as the registers of many books Osho was borrowing at the Library.
About 20 km west of Jabalpur is the village of Bhedaghat, where we will visit the ‘Marble Rocks’. Osho visited the ‘Marble Rocks’ many times: he especially loved the nights around the full moon in this magical place.
“I have lived for almost twenty years in Jabalpur in India; it has one of the most beautiful spots in the world. For two to three miles continuously a beautiful river, Narmada, flows between two mountains of marble... just three miles of pure white marble on both sides, high mountains. And the river is deep.” | Osho
Just outside of Jabalpur are the ‘Black Rocks’. Osho lived there for many years after his enlightenment. He asked his childhood friend Swami Anand Vijay to create an ashram among the ‘Black Rocks’ hills and gave it the name Osho Amritdham. We will be staying there, meditate and meet Anand Vijay.
The Tour ends here after 18 days.. From Jabalpur you can decide where you like to go. We are happy to help organising and booking your travels at your own costs.
